James Andrew "Jim" McCann, II (born January 7, 1974) is an American writer of comic books, theater and television programs. Jim has worked on several films and music videos before entering the ABC Daytime Writer Development Program, during which time he wrote for the popular ABC daytime drama ''One Life to Live''. Upon moving to New York City in 2004 from Nashville, Jim found a position at Marvel Comics handling publicity and PR for publishing while managing press and panels at conventions. Recently, he has returned to his writing roots, writing for Marvel comics, creator-owned graphic novels, and other projects. ==Early life== McCann was born on January 7, 1974 in Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated from Father Ryan High School in 1992. McCann graduated from Xavier University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts, Electronic Media with a double minor in English and Theatre. He left his creative mark at Xavier by winning a Best Writer award in 1994 for his play ''Maire’s Question''.
